I provide tuition to pupils of all ages and abilities (beginner to advanced) in the Whitchurch, Shropshire, Chester, Cheshire and Wrexham areas. Lessons are taught in my purpose built music studio with vaulted ceiling and grand piano, at my home two miles outside Whitchurch, Shropshire.
A little bit about me....I grew up in the north east of England and am half Persian. I studied for my music degree at Lancaster University and hold several diplomas both in teaching and performing. I am completely passionate about all music and music teaching, and aim to inspire my students by sharing this love of music with them all. I am continually undergoing professional development (via courses and workshops) in order to keep abreast of new teaching methods, and to keep on top of my own technique as a musician.
Many of my pupils have gone on to become successful musicians and teachers themselves: I have had students taking up places at the Royal Northern College of Music, others studying music at university (specialising in composition and flute). I also regularly prepare pupils for school entrance exam auditions, with many gaining music scholarships at the top schools in Cheshire/Shropshire.

LESSONS ARE AVAILABLE BY SKYPE & FACETIME.
A huge thankyou to all students/parents who are continuing to take lessons by Skype/FaceTime. I'm sure you'll all agree it continues to be a huge success!
Many students are already embarking on their next exam grade and progress overall has been fabulous!
Lessons are continuing throughout the summer term via Skype/FaceTime but you will have the option of choosing what time you'd like to take your lesson. Fees will remain the original termly rate through the summer term, however I will be offering free backing tracks to all students who require them to practice with and for use in the lessons (due to the slight latency).
My aim is to continue to make every lesson as diverse and exciting as usual (with theory, aural, sight reading and composing challenges combined into pieces I personally write for each individual) using my music boards and emailing pictures of the work to students.
Can I ask all students/parents to make sure your camera picks up your face, upper body, hands and piano keyboard (placing the laptop at an angle to the piano will enable this), and your flute/clarinet/saxophone should be in full view so I can see fingers.
Music has so many benefits for us all. But at these difficult times, performing and listening to music has the power to heal and give so many of us an essential creative outlet to express ourselves. Please encourage regular playing and concerts at home. I am always here for advice and support.
Welcome to my site! I hope you will find it helpful and informative. Within the site, you will find audio clips and details of exam results to provide examples of my student's work.
